About Us

Showball is a football-based game played on a hard court like a basketball court, smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors.

Showball Premier League is organized by the India Showball Association (ISA), affiliated with World Showball Association (WSA), which is the governing body for Showball in India. We work with our members to facilitate domestic and international competitions, to develop the sport through rulebooks, and to bring Futsal to a worldwide audience.

Brief Of The Game

Object of the Game

The object of showball is to throw the ball inside the opponent's goal using your legs and head. If the opponent team manages to save the ball from getting inside the goal then no point is awarded to anyone. If you score the goal then your team wins a point. The team with most goals and points wins.

Players Involved

There are either 3, 4, 5 or 6 players on the field on each team, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Maximum number of substitutes allowed is nine, with unlimited substitutions during the match. Substitutes can come on even when the ball is in play but the player coming off must leave the field before the substitute can enter the playing field. If a team is reduced to fewer than three players remaining, the match is abandoned and counted as a loss for the team.

Duration of the Play

There are two periods of 20 minutes with time stopping at every dead ball. Between the two periods there is a break of 10 minutes. Each team may use one time-out per half, which lasts one minute.

If the game needs a winner, extra time is added which consists of two five minute periods. There are no timeouts in extra time. If the game is not finished in extra time it will go to penalty. kicks.

Start and Restart of Play

At the beginning of the match, a coin toss is used to decide who will start the match.

A kick-off is used to signal the start of play and is used at the start of the second half and any periods of extra time. It is also used after a goal has been scored, with the other team starting the play.
